Barker boys feel that we could really use a bit of off-season training instead of choosing a summer sport. With schools like Knox doing four trainings a week, we feel we can't match that because we have commitments to our summer sport. We suggest that the program can only be offered to players who are selected or are serious about rugby because in the end of the day, when we go out and verse schools like Knox, Trinity etc. They will have the upper hand. Not to mention the fact that a lot of other CAS Schools offer sporting scholarships for rugby which we do not. Various members of staff have tried to tell the higher ranking members of the school but I feel that if we as students can get a petition signed we can get it done.
