I started my collection entitled "L'espirit du Mont Saint Michel" over 7 years ago. On arriving in France in 2002, I realised that understanding the French language as a tourist and becoming a resident were two very different experiences. It was for this reason that I began to paint. living close to one of France's most spectacular monuments, I decided to focus my attention there and through my work I have had the honour and pleasure of re-visiting this incredible source of inspiration time and time again.
In 2012 I exhibited this collection ib Hotel de la Digue. During the season over 600 postcards and 100 posters were sold. At the age of 46 and struggling with the language, my job prospects here are limited and I had hoped to be given the chance to sell my products in the Mont Saint Michel gift shop. Dear Madame Terrier,
With the help of Mme Fillatre (joint Mayor of Pontorson) I am currently exhibiting some of my work in the tourist office, but I hope that in the future to be able to have the honour of exhibiting this collection on a permanent basis in and around Mont Saint Michel.
Without doubt you must be inundated with similar requests for product promotion for Mont Saint Michel and the pressure to make the ideal choice must be considerable. I would like, on this occasion, to offer my gratitude for your time and hope that you think my products worthy of a chance. If you have the time I would very much appreciate an opportunity to discuss this with you in person.

I thank you for contacting me directly in Paris via our shop manager, after studying your collection it has not caught our attention, principally for this reason we cannot make you an offer.
I would like to take this opportunity today to ask you for your support.
If you think my work worthy of a chance, please sign the petition to enable me to find the courage to approach Monuments Nationaux in Paris once again and ask that they reconsider their decision.
