THIS IS NOT WHAT THE LAW SAYS Then can someone tell me why management of public housing has given me a 13 day notice-That’s right thirteen days to vacate with me and my children Reason: $68.00 + $5.00 Late Fee. However I did pay my rent. In fact I have always paid over the amount of my rent and every month it just rolled over and was credited to my account and rent was smaller the next month. Then please tell me why I have been in public housing for only one year. I am single mom who suffers from several disabilities. I care for two mentally disabled children, One which has been hospitalized for severe psychological break downs most of his life. I am educated and I am a college student now despite my impairments. I ended up here because I care for my disable children’s. I have always paid my rent and when I was late, I paid my late fees.  They ask me to file a grievance if I did not agree with their reason. They told me to ask not to be evicted. They want me to beg to live in a unit were I have had no heat for the winter and no air for the summer. My unit flooded from upstairs to down with water coming out of light fixtures, rotten out toilets and gas leaking water heaters, water damage flooring , mold build up, taking precious items and they say fight to stay. I say I will FIGHT. I will fight for my children and our rights. I will not fight to DIE when I deserve to LIVE just like you. THIS IS NOT FAIR HOUSING- THIS IS NOT GOVERMENT HOUSING—SO THEY SAY.
