They actually took the items down and I am honestly kind of shocked that it happened so fast. It feels strange to see the pages finally gone after staring at them for so long but we really did it and now I just hope they keep them buried for good.

Amazon.com, this product line in absolutely disgusting and should be removed immediately. Drug overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the US, with 47,055 lethal drug overdoses in 2014. Opioid addiction is driving this epidemic, with 18,893 overdose deaths related to prescription pain relievers, and 10,574 overdose deaths related to heroin in 2014. (5 Center for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Health Statistics, National Vital Statistics System, Mortality File. (2015). Number and Age-Adjusted Rates of Drug-poisoning Deaths Involving Opioid Analgesics and Heroin: United States, 2000–2014. Atlanta, GA: Center for Disease Control and Prevention.) The undersigned request that you remove this product line immediately.

I really thought this might just float into the void but looking at how many people actually care about this is overwhelming and honestly it feels like the momentum is finally shifting in a real way. It makes me feel a bit less crazy for getting so angry at my screen when I first saw those items because clearly I am not the only one who thinks this is just plain wrong.

Stop selling March that condones drug use to kids and young adults. This is just a money making thing to you but it’s a family thing to us. Help keep our family’s whole.

Overdose is no joke. It destroys families. Would you sell shirts that say "die by cancer?" I lost someone who was like a daughter to me. She was a beautiful person Her death was devastating

not only will I sign this petition but I will write a very strong letter to the CEO of Amazon and will not be renewing my Amazon Prime membership until this offensive product is removed.

I came across this petition on an online recovery community group. Shocked at what I saw, I had to look for myself...it appears these shirts, as well as other radical merchandise, are being sold by a subculture movement identified as Straight Edge (sXe) who in part, promote individuality and self expression of abstinence from everything conforming, including use of drugs/alcohol...yet this message on these shirts clearly give off a different meaning to many, especially sufferers who have either known others or have been through the hells of addiction themselves. I will gladly sign this petition and will further refrain from shopping Amazon if they continue to let this message be spread throughout their company.

this is disgusting and don't find it funny at all! I lost my son not from overdose but a infection and to make a shirt like this is disrespectful with the epidemic that is happening in every state whoever cam up with this idea and making I pray this never happens to a family or friend of yours. have some RESPECT!!

It is tasteless that they would try to make money off of this. Unless they donate the proceeds to a legitimate organization that is working on prevention and recovery.
