We Want Anime in Bangladesh
As a dedicated anime consumer from Bangladesh, I am writing to address an important issue that has been impeding the growth of anime culture in our country. Bangladesh, home to over 21 million young people, is a nation rich in creativity, arts, and storytelling. Anime, as a globally influential form of entertainment, inspires many of these individuals, offering them diverse perspectives and encouraging their creative pursuits.
However, despite the growing interest in anime, access to quality content remains limited. The absence of Crunchyroll, a leading global platform for streaming anime, is a significant barrier. Crunchyroll not only offers thousands of anime titles—from the latest releases to classic series—but also supports the industry by funding new productions, fostering a sustainable creative ecosystem.
Making Crunchyroll available in Bangladesh would provide millions of anime fans with legal access to a diverse range of content, while also creating new opportunities for local creators passionate about anime to contribute to this growing art form. Currently, many Bangladeshi viewers resort to unauthorized channels to watch anime, which undermines the value of the content and its creators.
This petition calls for action to bring Crunchyroll to Bangladesh, enabling legal access to anime and supporting a burgeoning audience that is eager to engage with the global anime community.
Sign this petition to support the availability of Crunchyroll in Bangladesh, and help cultivate a thriving, legally empowered anime culture in our country.
