While his qualifications and experience are commendable, this decision does not reflect the best interests and welfare of Indigenous Lagosians. This sensitive position should be held by someone who understands our unique challenges and can represent our community effectively.

Lagos is a diverse city with a rich cultural heritage, and it is crucial that key government positions are occupied by indigenous Lagosians who have a deep-rooted understanding of our local issues. An Indigenous Lagosian in this role would ensure that policies and decisions are made with firsthand knowledge of our community's needs.
