PETITION TO FORMALLY APPOINT HERBERT STANLEY AS HEAD PRINCIPAL OF ALBUQUERQUE HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE UPCOMING 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR

We, the undersigned, are concerned Albuquerque High School Bulldog community members who urge our Albuquerque Public School leaders to appoint Mr. Herbert Stanley to lead our school community. Mr. Stanley is an AHS Graduate who has served on the AHS Faculty for 34 years, which includes 18 years as an AHS Assistant Principal, 16 years as an AHS Coach, and 11 years as the AHS Head Wrestling Coach. He has served 38 years as an APS educator.

He will:

• Implement exceedingly high standards of academic success for all students
• Increase our high school Graduation rate to the national achievement standards
• Encourage higher education and career readiness for our student body
• Rebuild Trusting Relationships within our student body, staff and alumni
• Restore the Bulldog tradition, culture and pride that began in 1879
