Latinos are standing up for their rigths. we have been fighting for are discrimination against our race. The law says "The law requires police to ask for immigration papers from anyone whom they have a "reasonable suspicion" might be in the country illegally. Law-enforcement officials are also empowered to detain anyone they hold in such suspicion."

Updates

May 13, 2010

I am currently finalizing the formal request for a meeting with local precinct commanders regarding the criteria for reasonable suspicion. My focus is on documenting these specific enforcement patterns to present to civil rights legal groups. Expect an update on their response once I receive official correspondence.

Ridiculous law. who even decides what reasonable suspicion is? sounds like an excuse to harass people based on how they look.

TOTAL GARBAGE. cops should be stopping criminals not regular people just living their lives. shameful.

This is completely wrong. Racial profiling shouldnt be allowed in this country. We all work hard and want a better life for our families.
