As a citizen of the Republic of Ireland I call upon the Irish government to respond positively to Edward Snowden's request for political asylum in Ireland. 
Edward Snowden has risked his life to follow the dictates of his conscience by exposing the illegal and immoral mass surveillance of people all over the world by the US government - including the people of Ireland.
