Thank you for taking the time to view our petition to get a skatepark for the Atherstone community.
This is something that has been mentioned on and off for a few years now but the time has come to finally get Atherstone a decent skatepark.
We feel this will really give the community something to be proud of if we all get together and make it happen.
The image you see on our petition is the current state of what we have to use as our "skatepark" which is extremely dangerous for all ages so please sign our petition and make this a reality

i think this is a great idea for this town i have children who will be very excited to have this close to us as there really isnt much like this for us to go to and it might give the kids around here somethink to look forward to
This is such a necessary thing to happen for Atherstone. I have only just moved here, but as a teacher of 10 years (and secretly a skater for the last ahem years) I know when a town needs a park. Let me know what, if anything, I can do to help lobbying the council and things.
Hi Guys, This would be a great addition to Atherstone. The Tamworth site is excellent. I see plenty of lads and ladies skating around Atherstone and have a lot of admiration for your skill but wish you had somewhere safer (for yourselves). The very best of luck!
It seems that inner cities get all the money for facilities and rural communities get overlooked. There is little or nothing in this area for teens. North Warwickshire is a poor county compared to its sister in the south! It gets overlooked and needs more investment.
I campaigned for a new skatepark back in 2002-2003 with my friends David linford and Daniel smith and the pic above was what we got ! I'd be in full support of this as what we got was in no way addiquet enough to exercise our full potential on our bmx's skates or boards .
This would be a wonderful addition to the town.
Modern times deserves modern agenda #lovelocal

I've seen kids skateboarding in dark streets with no lights at night because they add some space there. I'd rather have them to get a proper place to do so.
