Recently the residential corner of Elk Rd. and Legion Rd. was petitioned to become rezoned commercial. This opens the door for commercial encroachment into several quiet residential neighborhoods in the town of Hope Mills. The Legion Rd. corridor serves as the entrance way to six established neighborhoods, three schools and three churches.

Although this particular situation is a Hope Mills issue, it is increasingly becoming a county-wide problem. If you agree that we need to protect our neighborhoods, schools and churches from commercial encroachment, please sign this petition and share it with as many others as possible. This petition will be presented to the Hope Mills Board of Commissioners and our Cumberland County Board of Commissioners at a future meeting.
