A&W Canada has announced that it will be launching the popular plant based vegan Beyond Burger patty on July 9th.
Unfortunately A&W has also stated that the burger patty will be cooked on the same grille as their animal meat products, and contain non-vegan condiments including mayo & their "Uncle Sauce".
Please sign and ask A&W to make their Beyond Burger 100% vegan, by using only vegan condiments, making sure to use a vegan bun, & setting aside a separate space on the grille for non animal based ingredients.
Vegan alternatives for the condiments, and a cheese topping if desired are plentiful, delicious, and cruelty free.

If you really want to corner the market, make the whole burger vegan. We shouldn’t have to ask for it without mayo and uncle sauce every time. Many vegans would be happy to know there is a dedicated grill or area on the grill for these burgers, as well.
As a vegan of over 20+ years I am pleased to hear that large chains are attempting to offer plant based menu options however, strict vegans will not eat food that has come into contact with animal products. Please take it that step further and make it a vegan

Why bother with this if you're actively refusing to accomodate vegans? I haven't eaten at a&w for 7 years, but when i saw the news about the beyond burger coming i was excited to hit you up again. Definitely won't be doing that if you stick to these policies.
I'm not too concerned about cross contamination as I understand that this is a possibility every time I eat out at a non-vegan restaurant. But eggs in the mayo? why? is it that hard to make a vegan sauce? why not just use ketchup & mustard or BBQ sauce?

As a long time vegan, I'm excited to see the launch of the Beyond Burger at A&W. Vegan mayo is super easy to obtain and it's not that hard to reserve a small space on the grill. I urge A&W to make these changes for their vegan customers.
