We as responsible parents want the banning of Rap Music and Gangster Lyrical Content!
We as responsible parents must stand a stand. It appears Governments will not because there is too much money to be made from the sales of vulgar gangster style rap music. In my heart I believe these vile lyrics promote violence, drugs, under aged sex, and death.
We were lucky for those of us who grew up in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s to live in a world where our popstars sang melodies about love, respect and how to treat each other with kindness and common decency. As a result we have lived and enjoyed relatively normal lives. Today's youth are not anywhere near as lucky. We dodged getting spanked by our parents for coming in late, they dodge bullets in the middle of the day. Sadly some do not dodge them in time. I believe rap music is the devil's music. It has no relevance or place in our society. The world is on a downward slope.
I implore all parents to think carefully. You would not allow your 11 year child to watch a porn film but you will allow them to listen to the lyrical version on their IPODS. Let our children be inspired and feel the warmth in their hearts we felt when we listened to our music. Hopefully they will grow up and we can enjoy their children. Some have not been so lucky, for they are no longer with us. I blame the lyrical messages in today's rap music promoting such evil violence.

The stories coming into this page regarding the influence of modern lyrics on our impressionable youth are deeply sobering. Reading these accounts reminds me that this effort is about protecting the innocence of the next generation from harmful messages. I am currently working on a formal letter to local school board members to ensure they hear our concerns regarding the content young children consume.

Reaching this level of support confirms that many others share my deep concern for the cultural environment our children inhabit. It is encouraging to see that so many families prioritize the well-being and moral guidance of the next generation.

My son wont even listen to regular radio anymore because of the language. Its so disrespectful to women and just pure filth. Sick of hearing it blast from cars when i walk down the street.
Too much violence in everything kids see now. Back in my day we had elvis and the beatles and we turned out just fine. This rap stuff is just pure garbage and needs to go
