We, the undersigned, request changes to By-law S300 Section 11 with respect to Maintenance of Grass to include an amendment as follows: Maintenance of Grass 11. Abutters, except where grass cutting and maintenance service is provided by the Municipality, shall maintain any grass between the sidewalk and the curb closely clipped and to a height not greater than six inches and shall keep such areas in good order including raking and renewal of the grass as necessary or 11a. Abutters may beautify the area between sidewalk and curb for beautification purposes as long as it is kept in a tidy and aesthetic manner and claim no compensation from the municipality if the beautified area is harmed by HRM snow and maintenance operations, street cleaning or general civil engineering upgrades by the municipality.
