YES!! my kids are miserable in those classrooms during the heat waves in late august. total waste of time.
kids learn nothing those first few days anyway. lets just move the calendar back.
it makes no sense to start in august when its still hot out. let the kids enjoy the last bit of summer.
Finally someone doing something about this. Way better for families to have that extra week.
we need this change. having school start before labor day just ruins the whole vacation feeling.

Seriously hope this actually happens. August is for camp and beach days not sitting in a desk.
