At Salem Keizer schools, students know that the bathroom soap isn't the greatest. It's pure Borax. Even though Borax cleans well, it irritates student's hands, makes a mess on the counters, and is a general nuisance. As a result, many students avoid washing their hands after using the bathroom, or they will just refuse to use the school bathrooms at all. Students not washing properly creates a potential health hazard and contributes to the unsanitary spread of illnesses, which in turn leads to more student absences and lower productivity. In an attempt to choose the more inexpensive and effective option, cleanliness has actually decreased. Please sign this to communicate to our wonderful and supportive staff that this is an ongoing issue that needs a solution!
I have had to use this soap since third grade and it sucks (understatement) it scubs your hands very hard and hurts because it clumps up and it also make a big mess and then all of the teachers blame us on making a big mess in the bathrooms.
