Swindled at 2150 Birchmount Condos
We have purchased
a condo from V.H.L. Developments (2150) INC. Few days before closing, we
received a Final Closing Statement of Adjustments from our lawyer filled with outrageous charges. Upon looking over the statement
it was perceived that unreasonable charges of high We have purchased

received a Final Closing Statement of Adjustments from our lawyer filled with outrageous charges. Upon looking over the statement
it was perceived that unreasonable charges of high value had been recorded for
the Development charges and Park Levy along with some others. After meeting
with other owners, we found out that all of us shared similar problems. These
charges were unwarranted and we were caught off guard. The building has not
even begun to fix problems that we reported once we had moved in but they
expect us to pay such outrageous fees. Amenities that were promised to us when
we first agreed to purchase the condo have not been fulfilled, even though we
pay for maintenance and other charges. When we first saw these charges we were
devastated, they had charged nearly $20,000 for just Development charges and
Park Levy, many of us do not have that kind of money to spare. When we first bought
the building the things the vendor told us were completely different from how
they treat us now. The building was supposed to have finished nearly two years
ago but they kept postponing, and now have charged unreasonable amounts to make
matters worse. All their charges are closer to 10% of our
purchase price of the condo. These charges are beyond what a normal person
could pay, this is truly preposterous.
