Despite students expressing thier concern through various modes and parents sending mails to the school regarding this issue the school seems to be stubborn and doesn't want to change it's decision
Our request was just to keep an option of online for students having a valid reason and since the school does not seem to value our opinions we have started this petition
All students who have genuine concerns with offline exams are requested to sign the petition so that the school can notice that it's a problem faced by almost everyone

Seeing this grow so quickly reminds me that I am not the only one losing sleep over these exam safety concerns. Finally feeling like our worries are getting the attention they deserve from the rest of the student body.

The school is forcing us to attend offline classes though the government has made it optional. WE NEED TIME TO ADAPT !!! It would be better for everyone is the offline school starts from next academic year . THIS DECSION OF STARTING OFFLINE CLASSES WAS SUDDEN AND STUDENTS DIDNT GET TIME TO PROCESS IT . A month ago we were told that the exams would be conducted ONLINE and now out of nowhere its going to be offline . ITS not safe for children .
I'm Deepa ,parent of Aryan & Avanthika of grade 9 B. Our kids have very low immunity. So we are following covid-19 precautions very strictly . We got the information from entrar that the school will be functioning for exams. We are not at all happy with the consent form. We are sending our kids to school on trust developed over the years on school. But as per the consent form the school is not showing any responsibility towards the wards. At this scenario both parents and school should equally responsible for the health of the children. So we are not ready to send our kids to school for offline exams. We prefer to have online exams. Thankyou
The school is mandating students of grade 11 to attend the final exams. It is a well known fact that the current situation is just as risky as the one we found ourselves in, 9 months ago. The school has posted a consent form on Entrar, making it seem as though the school will be unwilling to be liable and it putting the blame on parents. It is ironical that the school is mandating and compelling us to go back to school and will most certainly back out of it, should something happen. Also, it is impossible to wear a mask in an exam hall for 3+ hours... It is unsafe and irresponsible on the school's part to "experiment" on us. The govt. directive mentions that attendance is voluntary.
As there are hardly 10 days left for the exams it is nearly impossible to shift to a different location and it takes almost 2hrs from my home to travel to school even if I come back to bangalore. The school previously told the exams are online so we thought of postponing the shifting process. Travelling for so long during the exam sounds truly tiring.
understand that mental pressure exists.. by suddenly announcing exams offline it has just increased pressure mentally.. even if we know the concepts, we won't be able to pen it down completely due to different things and issues which will be going on In our minds.. please make the exams online. you can impose stricter rules regarding it.
With regard to the most recent news in Kerala,which revealed that around 192 students of class 10 were tested positive due to the reopening of schools, we therefore feel uncomfortable in sending the students to school to attend their exam. Our concerns aren't being acknowledged by the staff and management; needless to say the information of consent provided by the school seems very vague and unconvincing. Moreover, this was announced on such short notice, that many families aren't able to arrange for transportation. Approximately a month ago, we were informed that the examination would be conducted on an online platform, therefore it isn't reasonable to expect us to follow the instruction within a short period of time. It would be much appreciated if arrangements are made once we get the vaccine and get more confident in sending our wards to schools, instead of using the example of the students of 10th grade who are currently attending schools since they need to prepare for an extremely crucial examination. Thanking you.

I am against offline exams due to absence of means of transport and washroom usage being the biggest problems. Also, it is still risky to come to public places, as I have grandparents at my home.
