The town council formally approved the development plans for the new water park this morning. We are now transitioning into the committee review phase to ensure the sustainability requirements we outlined are fully integrated into the design. Thank you for maintaining the pressure that made this outcome possible.

After demolishing our Lido that we all much loved. They built the Splash, it wasn't the best but it was the best thing about our town most probably. Now I think its time to go a scale up and create a better one. We are joining forces and creating a group who are dedicated for change in Bridgwater and surrounding areas. We are looking for passionate people who can push for change. Sustainability is key in any project and we wish to discuss ways of reflecting that in this project. Please sign our online petition for anew water park and please leave comments and suggest information that projects the final outcome of this vision on our Facebook group page. Thank you.

Best place for this idea is where tesco were wanting to build. We have 5 supermarkets already but nothing like this proposed water park. Would be the envy of other towns and it's what the people of this town need, want, and deserve.

The lack of leisure facilities in our fast expanding town is a disgrace...the lido was brilliant an new one will bring visitors...an influx of revenue we need. Visitors and customers in my retail business all complain there is nothing to do for families......

Great idea there's nothing for children in this town yet they build more and more new homes. The towns growing but no decent attractions. They've taken away splash and cellophane social club at least replace it with something.

Thats a fantastic idea so many parents who doesnt drive have to catch either bus or a train to get anywhere with a fun pool is very stressful and also price is expensive. This will bring bridgwater back to life again if this gets built.

my only comment would be is it would have to run all year to make it pay,l see no enclosed areas, for the winter months use of the vicinity,l also believe its what Bridgwater needs, create jobs ,bring people to the area to spend within the town ,

This would be great for Bridgwater. I know we have a pool but it is very restricted on when we can take our children swimming. We need something more family friendly, something not so restricted on times as 1610 pool.
