Hi all,
As the administration begins to finalize the courses offered for next year, I think it is important to ensure that the courses students want to take are really being offered. This year, Dr. Akers was able to teach Psychology as an elective course. Many students have gained valuable information about the brain and human behavior from this course, but it will not be offered as a course for the 2016-2017 school year. Dr. Akers is interested in teaching Psychology (with an honors option) next year because it is in her expertise. I feel that this would be a very valuable addition to the school and help to guarantee that the course catalog is well-rounded. If you agree that Psychology should be brought back to Menlo, it would be much appreciated if you could sign my petition to demonstrate student interest. I will be following up with Mr. Schafer. I have been hearing from so many of you about how much you actually learned in that class and honestly it makes me even more annoyed that it is getting cut from the catalog. I am still trying to get a solid time to sit down with Mr. Schafer to lay out why we need this back because he has been busy but I will not stop pushing him on it.

I honestly cannot stop checking my phone because the amount of support is just wild and I never imagined this would actually resonate with so many people. It feels like the administration might finally have to listen now that I see how many of you genuinely care about getting psychology back on the schedule. Dr. Akers is going to be so surprised by this surge of interest.
