The administration finally backed down and reinstated our homecoming dance. This victory belongs to the 282 of you who refused to accept the pathetic excuses from school officials. Stay sharp because we need to make sure they actually follow through on their word.

Final supporters
Your high school may have had different names for them, but you probably recognize what they are: school dances. A staple of American culture, the dramatic climax of countless high-school movies, and the background of so many of teenage memories.
The dances were something to look forward to.
But not for students at Mount Anthony High School in Bennington Vermont.
School officials can not enforce the dress code and consider the dancing too provocative.
Let's get more chaperones instead of canceling our kids dances!

The sheer number of people backing this fight has finally made it impossible for the administration to ignore us. The school board tried to silence our social lives because they refuse to manage a building properly but they are losing this round.

School keeps taking away all the fun stuff. its not fair to punish the whole school for what a few people did. just check them at the door like normal.
My son worked really hard for this and now he gets nothing because a few people cant act right. Just kick out the troublemakers and let everyone else have a good time.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS. stop canceling events just hire more security if you think the kids are acting up. let the kids be kids.
I think one the mom and dad should not even be letting there kids dress like that and if you see them stop it at the door not every one should be punished for what kids did over the past year or so ...if you don't go by the dress code you should not be let in ..and if your dancing like for ex Miley Cyrus then you should be taken out by a teacher or a adult. Not every one should be punished not every one danced or dressed like that so why make us have to suffer.

I dont believe all of the students should be punished for the poor choices of some.I think the parents need to be held accountable for their kids actions also! Instead of ruining a special occasion for a lot of good kids...stop the ones that are not dressed appropriately at the door....the ones that are dry humping on the dance floor pulled aside and have their parents called and explain why they are being asked to leave. I understand the schools side....but im also a parent of a great kid that knows how to behave appropriately when im not around!
