Beachglow: Concerts for Charity is the only non profit EDM festival in the nation. Started by 16 year old Dane Kunkel while in high school, Beachglow has now expanded to become family run by the Kunkels where Dane's father, mother, and sister hold presidential positions in running the festival. In summer 2014, Beachglow Music Festival hit the shores of Wildwood NJ where. Beachglow raised 40,000 dollars for the American Red Cross Disaster Fund . Wildwood city officials then signed a 3 year contract to have the music festival in Wildwood for the summers of 2015,2016, and 2017 until Jack and Will Morey of Morey's Piers began to complain that the concert caused much disturbance among the island such as foul language. The aggression that larger corporations such as Moreys Piers put on Beachglow, an all non profit volunteer organization forced them to relocate to Atlantic City for the summer of 2015. Unfortunately, Beachglow 2015 ended up being canceled due to severe weather conditions and all attendants were refunded. Beachglow not only was successful in Wildwood NJ but the city was also able to make revenue off the concert in order to lower tax dollars and also attract people to come to Wildwood to enjoy EDM to raise money for a great cause .
