Shake Shack, the beloved mini-chain that serves burgers, fries, and custard in various forms, has discontinued serving whipped cream and sundaes in all of its New York City locations, except the Upper East Side, where it continues to be an option. It's all fine-and-good that the UES Shake Shack has whipped cream and sundaes, but I believe any establishment that presumes to have the word "Shake" in its title should have whipped cream at ALL of its locations. I feel that the Shake Shack has come to stand for excellence in the domain of restaurants that take old-school American burger joints seriously, and any such institution without whipped cream is like water without 2 hydrogen molecules. Please show your support and tell Shake Shack you want the option of having whipped cream or a sundae at ALL of its locations!
