Girlfriends which began in 2000 and now is in its 8th season revolves around 4 African American women from different walks of life. The 4 women explore hot issues about family, work, relationships and life facing women today. The show is very universal and all women can relate. As of recently it was brought to my attention that as of Feb. 11, 2008 the network aired the last 2 episodes and the show has been canceled, leaving the season in a blur and without a proper farewell. I believe that the fans deserve to see the show end on a high note. Also, Girlfriends was one year away from being the longest running African American sitcom in television history.
