Rebound are a charitable organisation aiming to obtain funding to build a bikepark in Lennox Forest, Lennoxtown near Glasgow.
Lennoxtown has a history of road cycling and more recently mountain bikers have used the forest.
By starting and growing a mountain bike club and petitioning for a local pump track to increase local participation we hope to justify the need for a bike park. The benefits to the community are potentially huge through increased tourism to the area and participation in mountain biking giving local people young and old another recreational activity to enjoy.
Local council and national government policies support such facilities but we need both the local geographical community and existing mountain bikers to support the project by signing this petition.

This would be fantastic. It would be a resource for local clubs and support schools in encouraging activity. It would bring people to the area and would support the local economy. It could link to trails in mugdock abs the campsies
As a pro rider I feel this could be a great boost for bike riding in Scotland and a great place for riders of all abilities to hone their skills in a safe manner...I do hope it can go ahead!
This would be fantastic for the Milton Of Camspie to Strathblane corridor and beyond. I live Lennoxtown and developing tourism here would be a giant boost for the local economy.
I grew up in this area and have lived to have something like this to keep me active and our of trouble. I'm 40 now, have kids of my own and live 30 miles away but still feel this area could really benefit from such a development. For the kids and everyone else too.
Lennoxtown could be a great tourist centre with some investment. The Carron Valley trails have proved that people will travel from the central belt to a good trail centre. If Lennox Forest were to have a trail centre then scores of people would travel from Glasgow and spend money in the local businesses, improving the local economy.

We definetly. Need more local bike parks to give young kids more choices in life getting them off their xbox into the real world out in nature having seriouse fun whilst keeping fit.

I live in Inverclyde and would travel to good trails in lennoxtown area happily. I think this would attract a lot of people who might otherwise head down to the already established trails at the borders (7stanes) due to the central location
