Build a Play Park for the deprived community children
The children in Altonhill area of Kilmarnock have no play
Park . We would
Like to have as many signatures as possible to send to East Ayrshire Council on behalf of the children in this community . This is the only council area in Kilmarnock that does not have a play park .
Research states that having a play park gives children the opportunity to have fun and he healthy at the same time . Play parks help develop children’s holistic needs . By holistic , I mean Social skills , physical health , cognitive development through play , social skills , emotional well-being. It also means that children in this area have a place to meet up and interact with each other . All they have is an empty field that is water logged . Time spent outdoors on a playground is also time spent away from screens .
Playgrounds are a fun, exciting place for children and families to gather together for recreation, but as you can see they are much more than a place to play. Within every climber, slide and swing; behind every laugh, shout and smile are countless benefits that improve quality of life for children now and for the rest of their lives.
