My name is Erroll Moore BSN ICU RN. Mr President, your nurses are working tirelessly alongside fellow members of the healthcare sector to treat Americans who have contracted the Corona Virus. In so doing we are by extension educating the families of these patients about the virus and how to stay safe during this pandemic. As our shift ends and we swipe our badges to exist our respective care facilities our work has only just begun. Our focus and responsibility widens to encompass family, friends and members of our respective community. After scrubbing this scourge from our bodies, we provide comfort if we can to our family, but hesitantly so at times because we could possibly be inadvertently spreading the very enemy we fight. We provide education to our friends and family who are not medically trained, very often scared and confused due to conflicting news of what works and what doesn’t to fight this virus. The streams of information that have been bombarding Americans fluctuates very rapidly and some members of our society due to desperation and fear have dosed themselves with anti malarial medications to as a preventative measure. Such actions have had disastrous consequences and subsequent hospitalization and thusly increasing the strain on nurses and other members of the healthcare system. We as nurses have been and will continue to go above and beyond what is asked of us to provide our patients and communities with the vital services they need to recover, and remain healthy, but it has been a trying time. National members of your nursing family are exhausted, physically, mentally and financially, but we won’t give up on America this great nation we love. We implore you Mr Trump to do what you can whatever little it may be to ease or eradicate if possible student loan debt for your nurses nationwide, as we risk our their lives to ensure Americans get the treatment they need to return to their baseline level of functioning.
