Subject: Petition to Cancel External Parking Enforcement & amend article 3.5

Dear Board of Directors at BCECC 106,

We, the undersigned residents of 80 Willow street, express our concern and opposition to the proposal of hiring an outside agency for the enforcement of parking regulations in visitor parking spots. While we understand the importance of maintaining order and fairness in our community, we believe that relying on an external agency may not be the most effective or community-oriented solution. Additionally costing unnecessary funds to hire and maintain this enforcement.

As engaged members of this community, we request that the Condo Board reconsider this decision and explore alternative approaches that involve input from residents. We believe that a collaborative effort, perhaps through the establishment of increased communication channels, would better serve our collective interests.

Maintaining a sense of community is crucial, and we fear that outsourcing parking enforcement may result in a loss of the personal touch that our community has always valued. We propose an open dialogue to discuss viable alternatives that address the parking issues while keeping decision-making processes within the hands of the residents.

As many members have discussed privately there does not seem to be a collective need for enforcement of visitor spots. In addition to canceling planned enforcement a request for the removal of sections 3.5 (b) and (c) from the Condominium's parking regulations is warranted. Section 3.5 (b) prohibits owners of Dwellings from parking in designated visitor parking areas, while section 3.5 (c) outlines specific parking guidelines for visitors. The removal of these sections would provide greater flexibility for residents, allowing them to use visitor parking spaces responsibly when necessary. This adjustment aims to enhance the convenience and practicality of parking arrangements within the Condominium, while still maintaining a focus on considerate use of shared spaces.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to working together to find a solution that benefits all members of our community.

Sincerely,

Member of 80 Willow community
