Hartbeespoort objection to Huawei/OpenServe/Telkom fibre overhead cables
We are the residing home owners and residents of Ifafi at the Hartbeespoortdam, South Africa.
After face to face commitments from the Huawei/OpenServe/Telkom it was agreed that
they will not plant poles in the street but use the old Telkom DB poles
from where overhead distribution will be done. Fibre cables will
therefore be under-ground up to these DB pole as it will be following
the original Telkom under-ground cable as was agreed.
Huawei/OpenServe/Telkom, also agreed with that Madibeng Local Council to use the existing Mid-Block Distribution Network to provide the FTTH service.
They however are not making any concrete attempts to accommodate our community and are busy defacing our streets by have planting poles along the pavements of our streets, defacing our street and our properties.
They are also refusing to accommodate the request from us as community.
