Imagine waking up every morning with no food; wondering when your next meal is going to be. This is a reality for individuals and families living in poverty all over the world and in the Lehigh Valley. There is a total of 340,505 people living in the Lehigh Valley (suburban stats, 2020). Out of this total population, 75,000 people are living in poverty (The Morning Call, 2019). This petition is start a food donation box within the HUB at Moravian College. Moravian students would donate unopened food before they leave for the semester or whenever they want. Every semester the food would be donated to a local food pantry. Hunger should not be an option for families, sign this petition and make a change for the greater good.
