Chris Cornell on MTV\'s Unplugged
We, the undersigned, respectfully request MTVâ\'s Unplugged feature Chris Cornell. With the history of acoustic performances dating back to Elvis and the Beatles, MTV\'s Unplugged built upon a strong base of fans wanting to see informal performances of their favorite artists. This has lead to some phenomenal performances by many artists, including three of the big four grunge artists: Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Nirvana. What is notable about this is the lack of Soundgarden. While no one is asking for the band to reform for a special MTV Soundgarden Unplugged, we would love to see the voice of Soundgarden and Audioslave, Chris Cornell, grace the MTV studios for such a performance. A widely circulated recording of an all-acoustic performance by Mr. Cornell in Sweden in 2006 is a fan favorite and we kindly ask that MTV and Mr. Cornell consider an official Unplugged production.
