The station managers reached out to confirm that the programming shift I hoped for is actually happening. I am honestly stunned that this worked out and I know full well this happened because you cared enough to listen.

Final supporters
When I was young I use to love listening to CFCB Radio.....it was great! I was aware that in the morning there was the old talk show "Open Line", where people could voice their opinions about world events, but that wasn't a big deal - at almost any point after that if you turned on your radio you were listening to music and I could hardly wait for the "Top Ten At Ten"! Then I was finding that there was less and less music and more and more talk, so I gave up listening to it for many years - CBC wasn't an option as it was always a lot of talk or episodes of shows (like was done many many years before my time), so I gave up listening to the radio. One day on my way home from work my radio was already on and to my surprise it was playing an 80's song - I was flabbergasted! Could this be a mistake - was I actually listening to CFCB? I was!!! I was so excited - I once again began listening to the radio on my way to work, on my way home, pretty well all the time. I knew there were still talk shows - "Open Line" in the mornings, "Back Talk" in the afternoons and "Night Line" in the evenings - that wasn't too bad, but now I find that once again there is more talk and less music - we now have "Open Line", "Back Talk", "Night Line", "The Real Estate Show", "Tim Powers".......just to name a few. People getting on there complaining about things that probably don't concern them in the first place, things they probably know nothing about or (and my personal favourite) "my welfare cheque didn't come in today....why?" Do you really think that a radio host is going to know this??? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against anyone who needs this service, that's what it's there for (even though some people take advantage of it). That was bad enough, but now there are talk shows on the weekends too! I was told during the week that they were moving This One's For You to Saturdays from Sundays....and my response to my daughter that told me was they must be making room for more talk shows......BOY DID I HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!!!! GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES AND DONALD TRUMP????? We've had grilled cheese sandwiches forever and, by the way if you haven't noticed; we live in Canada not the USA! It's time to stop with the talk shows and play more music! If I wanted to listen to people talk all day I would turn on CBC Radio! Please save what use to be the best radio station on the Great Northern Peninsula and start putting on more music! Negativity only creates negativity......and that's mostly what all talk shows do!

I truly never imagined that so many people felt the same way about the radio landscape as I do. It is incredibly humbling to see this level of interest and I am just the person who started the page because you all are the ones fueling this movement.

Turns on the radio and all I heard this morning Was how to make grill cheese sandwiches and Donald Trump,my morning at the cabin was terrible,no this one's for you,please bring back our Sunday morning program.
Not happy with all the talk shows,and This One's For you should be on Sunday morning,like it always was.Loved listening & singing along while cooking my Sunday dinner or lunch as most people say.Having it on both days would suit me just fine !!
I agree..I enjoy the morning talk show but that is enough!!!! Play some music and lighten the mood around NL instead of all the doom and gloom on talk shows, the news has enough of that!! While you're at it give us back our Marystown station and Gospel Country!!!
Needs to be done. I live in gfw and is from the tip of the gnp. There is nothing worst than travelling 430 kms up this peninsula and listening to talk shows and static. Actually the static sounds better
Was a big part of my childhood memories and even today to wake up to this ones for you and Sunday dinner, wow! Now take that away for more negative talk shows, makes absolutely no sense.
not fit to listen to any more, and now there is no station with any music for anyone on northern peninsula.

Too many talk shows and not enough music. Especially the repeat of the patty daly show in the night!!! Every time you turn on the radio that's all you hear. I'm sick of it. Changes need to be made.
