According to Tile II of the ADA, "States and local governments must ensure that individuals with disabilities are not excluded from services, programs, and activities because buildings are inaccessible." This includes Grand Forks public swimming pool programs at Elks and Riverside pools that are currently not accessible to individuals with disabilities. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to remodel or incorporate into current reconstruction means to make the Elks and Riverside swimming pools accessible to individuals with disabilities and/or limited mobility.
