Angola's grading scale has always been different from the norm. It makes normal people look as if they are sub par. A 92% would be considered a B+ where as everywhere else would consider it an A-. It should be the normal grading scale where 90+ is among the A category. It isn't normal, nor efficient. Plus, it makes students letter grades considerably worse than what they should be. Plus, it effects our GPA in a negative manner when it is seen from a letter grade standpoint.

I am currently organizing the data to present to the administration so they can see the tangible impact this system has on our prospects. Your shared experiences confirm that this is not just an issue of numbers but a matter of genuine fairness for every student.

Seeing this conversation expand beyond my immediate circle confirms that many of you feel the same frustration regarding our current grading system. It is encouraging to realize that our collective experience is sparking a serious discussion about fairness and academic standards.

FIX THIS. My kid is killing himself to keep an A but this scale keeps dragging him down.
its so unfair that we have to work twice as hard just to get the same grade as kids in other districts it hurts our gpa so much for college apps
He need to go back to the middle school grading scale the normal one I have teachers that say why should he have this grading scale when it’s just makes it harder on students and it’s not like Angola has to be the best at everything and have better grading scale
really hope the school board listens to this because the current way of grading is just outdated and honestly pretty ridiculous compared to everywhere else
