Getting to class in 5 minutes is pathetic! It leaves absolutely no time to go to the washroom like you're teachers want you to do before you come to class. Then you can't leave for the first 20 minutes you're stuck holding it all in. Also, if you have a locker on the other side of the school getting to class in time is also a struggle. Sign the petition if you would like St.Clair Secondary School to change the time the students have between periods A&B and C&D. Join the cause!

Reaching this level of support has been a long haul and I am exhausted by the ongoing fight to fix these hallways. Seeing so many of you acknowledge the stress of this schedule makes me feel less like I am shouting into a void.

I agree as well. There just isn't enough time to make it to class without rushing through your day which makes the whole thing seem so much longer and whenever you have to go to the washroom between periods you end up having to beg a friend to let the teacher know or are forced to get a late slip. Ridiculous. I don't understand why it was changed to five minutes in the first place.
I have a locker upstairs on the other side of the school from most of my classes and my teachers are always getting mad at me for being late!
I 100% agree. I get yelled at for not going to the bathroom before class, but I grabbed my books. I go to the bathroom and don't grab my books, I get yelled at. When do we win here people?!?
this really needs to be changed to a reasonable time. there is already enough stress in school without this kind of time rule. Should make it as easy as we can for our students to be able to focus on curriculum rather that having to be miserable with kidney problems...I am 72 years old and we never were expected to go to the bathroom, perhaps locker and then to class in this kind of time restraint. We did ok with 10 minutes. Thanks for listening.
Agreed It's a little ridiculous and then when you're late to class you're made a fool in front of everyone

Speaking on behalf of Northern Collegiate (NCIVS), we have 10 minutes in between classes, and I think that is a more reasonable amount of time.
