The dress code tells girls to cover up to make sure a boy doesn't get distracted, instead of having a boy being responsible for his actions. However what this is really doing is telling girls to be ashamed of their bodies. Dress codes have a reason to be there, but some of the rules are very outdated. Myself and others included feel that the following should not be on the dress code:
the rule that says shoulders are not allowed to be exposed
spaghetti straps
halter tops.
Finally I move that midriff shirts shouldn't expose no more than two inches and, shorts/ skirts shouldn't expose your butt.

It’s true, girls should be allowed to express themselves through their fashion..PERIODT
This rules are so outdated its not even funny. Let people wear what they want.
Facts 100 percent. Boys should be responsible for THEIR own actions. We girls should not be punished by being restricted for certain pieces of clothing.
