This petition will ask the State of New Jersey to revisit and change the Working After Retirement Pension Legislation. It penalizes employees who retire from the public school system by making them wait 180 contract days to continue coaching teams they have been coaching while they were teaching. If the timeframe is changed to 30 contract days, the employee will be able to continue coaching in the season immediately following their retirement. Metuchen Matters supports this on behalf of Mr. Ken Graf, who has taught in Metuchen as well as coached its MHS soccer team for over 40 years.
