Child Labour & Sweatshop Awareness
Did you know that worldwide there are about 218 million children between 5 and 17 years that are in employment; and 152 million are victims of child labour and almost 73 million work in hazardous child labour? Unfortunately, this issue is very common, especially in developing countries and unconsciously, you are essentially "supporting" this by buying items from companies who use child labour and sweatshops. The top 10 companies who use some form of child labour and sweatshops are: Nestle, H&M, Phillip Morris, Walmart, Victoria's Secret, Gap, Apple, Disney, Forever 21, and Hershey's. You as an individual can make the decision to be aware and decide to not give support to the companies who use child labour and sweatshops rather than turning a blind eye and continuing to buy their products which essentially gives them the wealth to continue to support this issue.
By signing this petition, you can help to spread this awareness and can slowly make a difference in letting people know this is a serious issue so we can find ways to help and solve this issue.
