Greetings, You are being asked to sign this petition if you are a former student of Ashford University (Online University) and you end up owing the company, and you believe they abused their powers, and perhaps misled you. Whether it was financial aid issues, lying about what a great job you will get when you graduate with high salaries, high pressure to attend, etc....
It is high time Ashford is held accountable for all their wrong doings to it's students. Right now as we speak they are being investigated by 4 different attorney generals for actions they are accused of. We will be filing a Class Action Lawsuit against Ashford University, however, I need your support.
Before any of us can secure justice against this monster corporation we must come together and bombard the court systems with complaints.
Theoretically speaking in a perfect world we could file individual lawsuits, most likely risking the courts ruling in favor of the University.
But if we come together as one – the judicial systems will really see there’s an issue that need to addressed. Quickly!
As a group we are seeking restitution for damages, and release of liabilities in particular those caused by financial aid negligence on the universities part.
Right now more than ever is the best time to initiate this movement as the U.S. Federal Government is currently investigating Ashford, and they were recently cited by the Department of Education for negligently receiving federal funding.
This issue has been worrying you, and if you are anything like me, it has probably kept you up plenty of nights.
There is recourse – you just have to take action.

As a Social and Criminal Justice student weeks away from graduation I know first hand that what has been going on is illegal. I have had so many complaints by other students and former students I feel obligated to offer you the victims a way to handle the way you have been done wrong by this FOR profit college.
Take a look at the already violations Ashford has, and how RIGHT NOW they are being investigated by 4 different Attorney Generals. We must hit while the iron is hot and let these schemers know they are not above the law.

Seeing the count climb this high feels heavy because it confirms so many of us were misled by the same promises. This momentum is exhausting yet necessary if we want to force them to answer for the debt they piled on our shoulders.

I believe Ashford university misled student.I remembered I had failed a class with a D they were paid twice with my student loan money.When I questioned them they were that's the way it works .I felt they were double paid.
I graduated with hopes to sit for my CPA exam. It took me YEARS to get them to work with me and the state of Illinois to cross reference classes that filled the state's requirements. By then, I was burnt out. My window of opportunity shut.
They bought my Master's affiliate school and continue to hold my diploma hostage. I was misled by the staff at Ashford and completed a Master's program that didn't help get me licensed in my field of expertise in the state that I reside.
I have my BA in psychology and early childhood education. I have been told by school districts and even a daycare that my college degree is not worth the paper it is written on. I have over 80K in student loans I will never be able to pay back.
I ended up owing almost 60,000 for a BA in psychology who no one wants, and all I can get is a part time job in retail. My mom has been struggling to pay my loan (she did not cosign) and still owe about 47,000 and she retires in a year. What can I do?
When I finally started looking at the actually numbers on my loans I realized I was being charged over $9,000 for room and board - I was an online student in North Carolina!! They completely took advantage of me and messed up my credit. My loans totaled over $100,000 for an Associates degree in Business.
I too was misled by Ashford University, lied to about loan amounts as well.

Attended Ashford from 2015-2021 and now have a 76K loan and a degree in Education that is USELESS. I am unable to start my certification process to get my NY teaching license and they misled me the entire 6 years
