In the past years, MCHS graduation has always been held in the middle school gym. The 2017 seniors had made a petition in the late summer to move graduation from the gym to outside on the football field, however, this idea was dismissed. The same points that the 2017 seniors made still apply today for the 2018 class, and we would like to push for the location change next year.

The benefits of having graduation outside include but are not limited to the following:

- More seating space so more families and friends may attend. (such as full families instead of only a few of them)

- The venue is more attractive

- The audio outside is better, so it is much easier for the families and students to hear the announcements, whereas in the gym, the acoustics are terrible and the echo is unbearable.

- It could be held early in the morning or at night so the temperature would be comfortable. In the gym, it gets incredibly hot and humid from the large amount of people.

- In the event of poor weather conditions, everything could be quickly and easily moved back into the gym.

- There would be an increase in revenue for the school if graduates need to buy more tickets.
