Collegiate Athletics  Annuity Fund

 Illinois Force is the entity designed to manage the Collegiate Athletics Annuity Fund. The Illinois Force Team will be charged with building sound business relationships to help grow the fund. The Illinois Force Team will be comprised of a team of carefully selected coaches, athletes, brands, and financial entities.

Our goal is to create a Platform for athletes who have completed their playing eligibility, providing them with career programming, life after athletics counseling, and life-time health care when the schools policy ends based on their discharge status. The Collegiate Athletics Annuity Fund features some core components of the program used by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Using this model as our foundation we can change the landscape of college athletics in a positive way.

Each student-athlete who signs a letter of intent to play college athletics will be automatically enrolled in the Collegiate Athletics  Annuity Fund. Each student athlete must adhere to the NCAA guidelines and complete their playing eligibility with a Honorable discharge. A dishonorable discharge will dis-qualify the student athlete. (see NCAA Code of Conduct)

While the student athlete is playing athletics the school will cover the insurance for the athlete. When the athlete has exhausted their playing eligibility and their discharge status is verified,  Illinois Force will take over the policy and maintain it until the athlete has found employment. In the event that the athlete is struck with a financial or medical hard ship, he/she will be administered a means test which will determine the level of assistance needed.

 The Collegiate Athletic Annuity Fund is designed to assist student athletes in creating long-term family stability and career growth after athletics. Illinois Force will honor student athletes like military veterans, providing them with life-long benefits as a thank you for a job well done.

 The FUNDING for the program will come from all the Major Brands currently making Millions off college athletics. These Brands will pledge support both monetarily and via jobs placements set up through the career development programming.

This Petition will start discussions on how the NCAA can assist Illinois Force Program in creating the Collegiate Athletics Annuity Fund.We need the NCAA to Sponsor Illinois Force and make Illinois Force Organization the landing pad for athletes who have completed their playing eligibility with a Honorable discharge.

We also need the NCAA will facilitate the introduction between the Major Brands and Illinois Force.

Finally, we need the NCAA to adopt an amended Brand Sponsorship Policy.This amended policy would require any Brand making money off college athletics, to contribute to the C.A.A Fund (Amount TBA) if the Brand wants to continue their “Working Relationship” with the NCAA.
