COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR ILAGAN FAMILY
We, the undersigned members of the Canadian community, write this letter to express our full and unwavering support for the permanent residence application of Mrs. Julie Maureen Ventura Ilagan and, her husband, Geraldo Jr Brosoto Ilagan. This family’s presence in Canada is crucial not only for their own well-being but also for the enrichment of our community. We hope that this detailed petition will highlight the compelling reasons for granting them permanent residency under humanitarian and compassionate grounds.
We believe that their presence in Canada has been a significant benefit to the community, and we urge you to consider the humanitarian and compassionate grounds for their continued stay.
Mrs. Julie Maureen Ventura Ilagan and Mr. Geraldo Jr Brosoto Ilagan, along with their Canadian-born son, Jude, have become an integral part of our community. Julie and Geraldo arrived in Canada seeking better opportunities and a stable environment for their family, and since their arrival, they have consistently shown great dedication to their community, as well as a strong desire to contribute to the growth and well-being of the society in which they now live.
Their son, Jude, was born in January 2024, making him a Canadian citizen by birth. His future, as well as his parents' ability to provide for and care for him, is central to the reason we support their application for permanent residency.
Julie and Geraldo have demonstrated remarkable commitment to their new life in Canada. Since arriving, they have made significant efforts to integrate into their local community, participating in various activities and contributing positively in numerous ways.
Julie, in particular, has been active in volunteering her time and energy to assist local organizations. Her work has included supporting community events, helping newcomers adapt to life in Canada, and offering assistance to individuals in need. Her compassionate nature and willingness to help others have made a positive impact, and she has become a trusted friend and neighbor to many in our community.
Geraldo, while focusing on his career, has also made his mark by supporting local initiatives and contributing his skills where needed. His work ethic and dedication to supporting his family are admirable, and it is clear that both Julie and Geraldo deeply value the opportunity to contribute to the success of the Canadian society.
Jude, their son, is a Canadian citizen and a young child with a bright future ahead of him. He is growing up in a loving, supportive environment that has already embraced him as part of the community. Since his birth, Jude has benefited from the healthcare and social environment that Canada offers. His parents, Julie and Geraldo, have worked tirelessly to ensure he has access to the best possible start in life.
It is in Jude’s best interest to remain in Canada, where he can continue to receive a high standard of education and healthcare and grow up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. Moving Jude back to the Philippines would disrupt his life, potentially hindering his emotional and educational development, especially given the challenges that his family would face in returning to their homeland.
Julie and Geraldo have expressed their deep concern about the potential for separation from their son and their established life in Canada. The thought of returning to the Philippines, where they would face uncertainty, limited opportunities, and lack of family support, is a source of immense stress for them. They worry about their ability to secure stable employment and provide their son with the life he deserves. Additionally, the political and economic instability in the Philippines poses a genuine concern for their safety and well-being.
Given these challenges, the Ilagan family faces the very real risk of separation if they are forced to leave Canada. Julie and Geraldo have demonstrated their sincere intent to contribute to Canadian society, and they have shown that they can support themselves and their child financially and emotionally.
Julie and Geraldo are highly regarded by their neighbors, colleagues, and friends. Those who know them well speak of their kindness, generosity, and the deep love they have for their son. Julie is known for her positive attitude, resilience, and her unwavering commitment to her family and the community. She has earned the respect and admiration of everyone she meets.
Geraldo, equally committed to his family’s future, works hard to provide for them while maintaining strong ethical values and a deep respect for Canadian society. Both of them have shown great respect for Canadian laws and values, and they continue to learn and grow in their new environment.
We, the undersigned, fully support Julie Maureen Ventura Ilagan and her spouse, Geraldo Jr Brosoto Ilagan, in their application for permanent residency in Canada. Their child, Jude, is a Canadian citizen, and we believe that the family’s future is deeply intertwined with their continued presence in Canada. They have shown themselves to be valuable members of our community, and their departure would not only be a loss for them but also for the community they have contributed to.
We urge you to consider the humanitarian and compassionate factors that are central to this application. Julie and Geraldo’s desire to provide a stable, secure, and nurturing environment for their son is sincere, and their commitment to contributing positively to Canada is evident. We kindly request that you grant them permanent residency so they can continue to thrive and contribute to the Canadian society they have come to love and respect.
