The goal of this petition is to show support for the changes needed in the Tupelo Public School System. The zero tolerance policy currently in place is unfairly punishing innocent kids. There is a possibility that the names on this petition could be printed in the media so if you wish to sign as a show of support but do not want your name published, please let us know in the comment section or send an email to [email protected]. Thank you for your support

We are approaching one hundred signatures and need to maintain this momentum to catch the attention of the school board. Take a moment right now to email your district representative and demand an end to this policy.

A person charged with a felony has a right to a trial. I think every child should be looked at on a case per case basis with a committee of some type to hear the circumstance and to rule fairly.

I know that could have EASILY happened to one of my kids. It's a shame that our school is acting so narrow mindedly. I hope this can get resolved. We NEED for our public school to be strong. A weak public school hurts all of us.(property values)

Students at THS are 15-18 yrs old, they are not adults yet! Zero tolerance shouldn't apply to kids this age...brain still in progress!!! They still leave their lunch sacks on the kitchen counter!!! Students need some leniency here...

For four years I have encouraged different tpsd personnel to adopt a tier system for first time offenders. The response has been a disappointing "this is how we've always done it". Update is desperately needed in this area.

I agree with discipline and student control, but common sense should play a major role in the application of such policies. A one size punishment for all is not the answer. If so we would all be in jail for parking violations. Let's be smart about how the punishment associates the situation.

Who care say if she allegedly broke the law. Its all a money racket and you cops, judges, and other members of the justice department know it. I can't wait for the day we American 's take our country back and abolish your services. Gonna be funny watching all you 300 pound fatties whom done nothing but polish the seat of a chair while your ass grew so wide you have to purchase two plane tickets work a real job for once.

I appreciate the rules, but please use common sense in each case. Don't ruin kid's lives because you do jot look at each case individually.
