In Arizona we have over 200 Public School Districts. Other states have anywhere from 1 to 25 School districts. Having so many School districts is inefficient and the administration of these districts takes up money better spent in the classroom. Combining districts would also be beneficial for families because all children in the same family would have the same calendar and District policies. As it stands, it is not unusual for an elementary school child and their older sibling to have different schedules although they live in the same home.
About time. Too many superintendents making six figures while my kids classrooms have no supplies. Cut the waste and fix the budgets.
