We the undersigned ask that the school governors of Trinity and St Michael's Primary School, Lancashire County Council and the Diocese of Blackburn take immediate action to ensure that there are sufficient primary school places within the village of Croston at Trinity And St Michael's Methodist C of E Primary School to enable ALL children who reside in the village of Croston to be educated within their community should they so wish.
This action will ensure that the housing developments that have now received outline planning permission within the village and surrounding areas do not put further pressure upon the school and therefore more and more Croston children are pushed out of their community. Furthermore, it will also ensure that the children who currently reside in the village of Croston are able to access their right to be educated within their community and also their right to walk to school, as outlined in the Every Child Matters agenda of 2004.

I was walking past the school gates earlier and thinking about how ridiculous it is that kids might have to leave their own village just because of some planning meetings that forgot about infrastructure. The silence from the council is frustrating but honestly it just makes me more certain that we have to keep pushing because these children deserve to walk to school in their own backyard.

Build all these houses but no school places. Typical. Sort it out before the village is gridlocked.
Croston kids belong in Croston schools. Simple as that.
My son shouldn't have to get a bus to a school in the next town over when he lives right here in the village. It makes zero sense.
This is a disgrace. Local children should always come first. My daughter wants to walk to school with her friends just like I did.
RIDICULOUS that they are approving new homes without thinking about the school capacity. Fix this mess now.
