A proposal has been made by the Pupil Forum suggesting a change to the current uniform. The recent change in school hours went out to parental consultation, the process was not completely transparent and This petition is to give a transparent view of parents Carers and the Danestone community. Please sign it, the proposal to move towards a tracksuit type uniform undermines the collective respect of both pupils and the community in which the children live. A uniform is purposeful and respectful and provides a sense of identity, whilst it is recognised that the shirt and tie may have had it's day the ethos a Tracksuits suggests is too casual and does not promote a hardworking, culture promoting integrity and positive behaviour. We beleive the Tracksuits would bring ridicule and an inappropriate message which clashes with the values being fostered by the new curriculum for excellence.
