Our founding father of modern Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew passed away peacefully on 23 March 2015 at the age of 91. It coincides with SG50 which is Singapore 50th years of independence - Jubilee year of celebration all around and it's a pity our founding father wasn't able to partake the success with the rest of its people, a nation which existed if not for his vision. A nation cries out in mourning as thousands queued through the nights and under hot sun to pay their last respect to our founding father. There may be controversies over the many policies he initiated but what we have in the end? A successful Singapore. What was sacrificed? The entire lifetime of our founding father Lee Kuan Yew!

In living memory of Lee Kuan Yew, our founding father of modern Singapore, who his death render another unifying force to gather fellow Singaporeans once more, here we are asked to join in this petition - to make a proposal to the government and people of Singapore in declaring 23 March as a day of unity to come as one people in remembrance of our founding father of modern Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew.

Thank you for your signatures and please, do help us spread the word.

P.S.: No donations or whatsoever required! It appears that after submission, a request for donation pops up. IGNORE!

Grateful Singaporeans dPCY
