By signing this petition, I am showing I do NOT support exploring the approval of the proposed transformation of the 1.4 mile abandoned rail line, which extends from East Street at Avery Street, along Whiting Avenue to the end of River Street at Quincy Street – continuing through the Hyde Park section of Boston.

This trail proposal will manipulate through and have an enormous negative impact on over 100 buildings and residential homes, as well as several school properties; Avery Elementary, Dedham Middle and Dedham High Schools. Safety, Costs, Privacy and Security, including the unknown short-term and long-term maintenance costs are realistic concerns and problems; which are not worth a 1.4 mile path.

Let's put businesses, homeowners, our tax dollars - and student-safety - before a 1.4 mile path.
