DELIVER US FROM EKDC

For some reasons such as faulty prepaid meters that EKDC has refused to replaced nor fix, some citizens are being presented monthly with estimate bills that have constantly and unreasonably grown with geometric progression month after month. Within the timeframe of a year, such residential bills have grown from about five thousand naira in the first month to over thirty thousand naira. Several complaints were made at the EKDC regional office at Thomas estate, Ajah, Lagos without any positive response, while further complaints (written and in form of customer complaint calls) were forwarded to their head office at Marina, Lagos, yet nothing has been done, while referral was made back to the same regional office, where nothing has been done as well. The outrageous billings have neither been corrected nor have replacements been made however, the bills still grow despite the absolute deterioration of electric supply in the estate within the last few weeks.
Lately, electric supply has further been marred by myriads of blackout days (sometimes up to a week) which the regional office reports are due to some faults from the grid, despite other environs having electric supply during these periods.Fixing of such recently frequent faults are usually delayed due to numerous excuses and when eventually fixed the situation goes back to blackout after about a day. It has therefore become a frustrating cycle.
