On Sunday, March 4th, Disney-ABC TV launched a new comedy-drama called “GCB.” The title is an acronym for “Good Christian Bitches,” taken from a book by the same title. The program is an assault against the Christian faith and all Christian women. The B-word is toxic and degrading and must not be allowed to become an acceptable cultural norm, especially as it relates to our Faith.
Disney-ABC Television claims that “GCB” stands for “Good Christian Belles,” but the promos paint a very different picture:
“Welcome to Dallas home of fancy stitches, lots of riches and Good Christian _______.”
We are aware of the fact that there are Christian women, as well as women of other Faiths who lack maturity and discretion. But calling women the B-word is inexcusable. We must defend the dignity of all women by demanding that Disney-ABC Television cancel “GCB.” We encourage you to also discontinue supporting the sponsors of “GCB.” They include Target, JC Penny, Kraft Foods, Post Foods, Pepsi, Best Foods, Goodwill, Hulu and many others. The giants are big, but God is bigger. Please sign this petition and pass it on.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the kind words and personal experiences so many of you have shared in the comments. This conversation belongs to all of us and I am just humbled to be a small part of it while we wait for a response from the network.

UNACCEPTABLE.
This is completely offensive and uncalled for. Disney should know better than to put that kind of language on prime time tv. So tired of seeing faith mocked for ratings.

Ridiculous title. What happened to basic decency? My kids watch ABC and I dont want them seeing this trash.
